Senior Resident Obstetrics and Gynaecology

The Senior Resident Obstetrics and Gynaecology will support womens healthcare, obstetric emergencies, labour room care, gynecological procedures, inpatient monitoring, and clinical documentation at Fortis, Bengaluru. This requires MBBS with MS, MD, or DNB in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with 2–8 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Attend OPD, IPD, labour room, emergency, and gynecology ward patients.
• Support high-risk pregnancy assessment, labour monitoring, and postnatal care.
• Assist consultants in deliveries, C-sections, gynecological procedures, and emergency care.
• Monitor maternal vitals, fetal wellbeing, bleeding, pain, infection, and treatment response.
• Maintain labour records, procedure notes, consent forms, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Coordinate with anaesthesia, OT, NICU, nursing, laboratory, radiology, and pharmacy teams.
• Counsel patients regarding pregnancy care, surgery, medicines, complications, and follow-up.
• Follow safe maternity care, infection control, patient privacy, and ethical practice.
• Support timely escalation of high-risk obstetric cases.
• Provide respectful, compassionate, and patient-focused OBG care.
