Senior Resident - General Surgery

The Senior Resident General Surgery will support surgical patient assessment, operative assistance, emergency surgical care, post-operative follow-up, and documentation at Fortis, Noida. This requires MBBS with MS or DNB in General Surgery with 1–5 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Attend surgical patients in OPD, ward, emergency, OT, and recovery areas.
• Assist consultants in clinical examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, and procedure preparation.
• Support emergency surgery evaluation, wound management, dressing, and trauma care.
• Monitor post-operative vitals, pain, drains, wound healing, infection signs, and recovery.
• Review lab reports, imaging reports, and surgical notes for patient progress.
• Coordinate with OT, ICU, anaesthesia, nursing, radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy teams.
• Maintain case sheets, procedure notes, consent records, progress notes, and discharge documents.
• Guide junior staff on surgical care instructions and patient monitoring.
• Counsel patients under consultant guidance regarding recovery and follow-up.
• Follow surgical safety, infection prevention, and documentation protocols.
