Pharmacist

The Pharmacist will manage medicine dispensing, prescription verification, pharmacy stock handling, expiry monitoring, patient medication guidance, and pharmacy documentation at Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospital, Chennai. This requires D.Pharm or B.Pharm qualification with 0–4 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Dispense medicines as per valid doctor prescriptions and hospital pharmacy policy.
• Verify medicine name, dose, quantity, expiry date, batch number, and billing details before issue.
• Guide patients on medicine usage, dosage timing, storage, and precautions.
• Maintain pharmacy stock records, issue entries, purchase records, and documentation.
• Monitor expiry, near-expiry, shortage, damaged stock, and reorder requirements.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, billing, purchase, stores, and pharmacy team.
• Follow pharmacy regulations, hospital SOPs, and medication safety standards.
• Ensure safe, accurate, and ethical pharmacy service delivery.
