Job Description
The Technical Supervisor - OS will be responsible for supervising oral solid dosage production activities, including granulation, compression, coating, blending, equipment operation, manpower handling, documentation, and GMP compliance. This requires strong knowledge of OSD manufacturing processes, shop-floor supervision, production planning, process monitoring, safety practices, and coordination with QA, QC, warehouse, and engineering teams to ensure smooth and compliant production operations.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise daily OS / OSD production activities as per production plan and batch schedule.
- Manage manufacturing activities such as granulation, blending, compression, coating, and related OSD processes.
- Ensure line clearance, area readiness, equipment cleaning, and batch changeover before production starts.
- Verify material details, batch number, product name, equipment status, and process documents before batch execution.
- Monitor process parameters, machine performance, yield, rejection, downtime, and production output.
- Allocate manpower and guide operators, technical assistants, and production staff on assigned work.
- Maintain BMR, logbooks, cleaning records, equipment usage records, and production documentation accurately.
- Coordinate with QA, QC, warehouse, engineering, IPQA, and production planning teams.
- Ensure proper material handling to avoid mix-up, contamination, cross-contamination, or wastage.
- Report deviations, breakdowns, process abnormalities, material shortages, or quality issues to seniors promptly.
- Follow GMP, GDP, SOPs, data integrity, hygiene, PPE, and safety requirements.
- Support in-process checks, shop-floor compliance, and production quality monitoring.
- Assist in deviation investigation, CAPA implementation, and process improvement activities.
- Train operators and assistants on SOPs, machine handling, documentation, and safety practices.
- Ensure timely, safe, and quality-focused oral solid dosage production operations.
