Technical Supervisor - Engineering

The Technical Supervisor - Engineering will be responsible for supervising hospital engineering and maintenance activities, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, utility systems, preventive maintenance, breakdown handling, and technical team coordination. This requires strong technical knowledge, team supervision skills, safety awareness, and the ability to ensure uninterrupted facility operations in a hospital environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise daily engineering and maintenance activities across hospital departments.
• Manage preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance for equipment, utilities, and facility systems.
• Coordinate electrical, plumbing, HVAC, civil, and mechanical maintenance work.
• Attend and resolve technical complaints from wards, ICU, OT, OPD, emergency, and administrative areas.
• Allocate work to technicians, electricians, plumbers, AC technicians, and maintenance staff.
• Monitor work quality, response time, repair status, and pending maintenance tasks.
• Maintain maintenance logs, complaint registers, service records, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with vendors for AMC, repair work, spare parts, and technical services.
• Ensure smooth functioning of power supply, water supply, oxygen support, AC systems, lifts, and utilities.
• Identify repeated breakdowns, safety risks, and equipment failure patterns.
• Follow electrical safety, fire safety, PPE, lockout-tagout, and hospital safety protocols.
• Support emergency maintenance during power failure, leakage, HVAC issue, or equipment breakdown.
• Maintain spare parts, tools, consumables, and maintenance material records.
• Coordinate with biomedical, housekeeping, security, administration, and nursing teams.
• Ensure hospital facility systems remain safe, functional, and patient-care friendly.
