Technical Supervisor - Central Packing OSD

The Technical Supervisor - Central Packing OSD will be responsible for supervising oral solid dosage packing operations, including primary packing, secondary packing, blister packing, bottle packing, carton packing, line clearance, documentation, manpower handling, and GMP compliance. This requires strong knowledge of OSD packing machines, packing material handling, production coordination, quality standards, and shop-floor supervision in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise daily Central Packing OSD activities as per packing plan and production schedule.
• Manage primary and secondary packing operations for tablets, capsules, and other OSD products.
• Ensure line clearance, area readiness, equipment cleaning, and product changeover before packing starts.
• Verify packing materials, labels, cartons, foils, leaflets, batch details, and coding information before use.
• Monitor packing line performance, machine output, rejection, downtime, and productivity.
• Allocate manpower and guide operators, technicians, and packing staff on assigned activities.
• Maintain BPR, logbooks, cleaning records, reconciliation records, and packing documentation accurately.
• Coordinate with QA, production, warehouse, engineering, IPQA, and dispatch teams for smooth packing workflow.
• Ensure no mix-up of products, labels, printed packing materials, or batch components.
• Monitor in-process checks, coding quality, sealing quality, counting accuracy, and final packing quality.
• Report deviations, machine breakdowns, material shortages, coding errors, or quality issues to seniors promptly.
• Follow GMP, GDP, SOPs, data integrity, hygiene, safety, and contamination control requirements.
• Support investigation, deviation handling, CAPA, and process improvement activities when required.
• Train packing operators on SOPs, machine handling, documentation, safety, and quality practices.
• Ensure timely, compliant, and quality-focused OSD packing operations.
