Radiology Technician

The Radiology Technician will be responsible for performing radiology procedures, patient positioning, imaging support, equipment operation, radiation safety, and documentation at Health1 Hospital, Ahmedabad. This requires Diploma in Radiology or B.Sc Radiology qualification, 1–2 years of experience, technical accuracy, patient care awareness, and coordination with radiologists, doctors, nurses, and hospital departments to ensure safe and timely diagnostic imaging services.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform X-ray and assigned radiology procedures as per doctor advice and radiology protocol.
• Verify patient identity, investigation request, body part, and imaging requirement before procedure.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain the process clearly.
• Position patients correctly to obtain accurate and diagnostic-quality images.
• Operate radiology equipment safely as per departmental SOPs.
• Follow radiation safety, shielding, PPE, and patient protection guidelines.
• Maintain imaging records, scan logs, film or digital records, and documentation.
• Coordinate with radiologists, doctors, nurses, emergency, ICU, and ward teams.
• Identify urgent imaging requests and prioritize emergency patients.
• Maintain cleanliness, equipment readiness, and safe radiology work areas.
• Report equipment malfunction, image quality issues, or safety concerns to seniors promptly.
• Assist elderly, pediatric, or physically challenged patients during positioning.
• Ensure proper storage and transfer of imaging data as per hospital process.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient reports and diagnostic information.
• Support accurate, safe, and patient-friendly radiology service delivery.
