MD - Anaesthetist cum Critical Care Specialist

MD - Anaesthetist cum Critical Care Specialist is responsible for anaesthesia administration, ICU support, critical care management, emergency stabilization, and perioperative patient safety. The requires MD Anaesthesia qualification with 0 to 1 year of experience. Candidates should have knowledge of anaesthesia practice, ICU care, airway management, emergency response, patient monitoring, and clinical documentation.

Role & Responsibilities

• Assess patients for anaesthesia fitness before procedures.
• Administer anaesthesia safely during surgical and procedure-based cases.
• Monitor patient vitals, airway, oxygenation, and anaesthesia response.
• Support ICU patient care, critical monitoring, and emergency stabilization.
• Assist in ventilator management, sedation, and pain control.
• Coordinate with surgeons, ICU doctors, nurses, OT staff, and emergency teams.
• Handle airway emergencies, resuscitation, and critical patient events.
• Support post-operative patient recovery and ICU transfer coordination.
• Maintain anaesthesia records, ICU notes, consent forms, and clinical documentation.
• Ensure readiness of anaesthesia machines, emergency drugs, and monitoring equipment.
• Follow infection control, patient safety, OT, and ICU protocols.
• Review patient reports and clinical condition before procedures.
• Communicate patient updates to consultants and clinical teams.
• Participate in emergency response and code blue activities.
• Deliver safe, alert, and patient-focused anaesthesia and critical care support.
