Academic Registrar - Pulmonology

The Academic Registrar will support pulmonology consultants in managing respiratory patients, critical care cases, emergency medicine support, and academic documentation. The candidate should be able to assist with patient assessment, clinical rounds, case discussions, teaching activities, and coordination with ICU, emergency, nursing, diagnostics, and pharmacy teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Attend pulmonology OPD, IPD, ICU, emergency, and respiratory care patients.
• Take history, assess respiratory symptoms, and support clinical examination.
• Assist consultants during rounds, procedures, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Review pulmonary function tests, imaging, lab reports, and treatment response.
• Support academic case discussions, teaching sessions, and departmental documentation.
• Coordinate with ICU, emergency, internal medicine, nursing, radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy teams.
• Maintain case sheets, progress notes, prescriptions, academic records, and handover documentation.
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and escalate critical patients promptly.
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and clinical documentation standards.
• Deliver professional pulmonology and academic support.
