Clinical Assistant Orthopedic

The Clinical Assistant – Orthopedic will support orthopedic consultants in OPD, IPD, emergency, trauma care, procedure assistance, documentation, and patient follow-up at Horizon Prime Hospital, Thane. This requires MBBS or Diploma in Orthopedics qualification with 1–2 years of experience in orthopedic clinical support.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthopedic consultants during OPD, ward rounds, and emergency assessments.
• Evaluate patients with fractures, joint pain, trauma, spine complaints, and orthopedic injuries.
• Support plaster application, dressing, wound care, traction, and minor orthopedic procedures.
• Review X-rays, CT, MRI, and investigation reports under consultant guidance.
• Maintain clinical notes, prescriptions, consent forms, and discharge summaries.
• Coordinate with OT, radiology, physiotherapy, nursing, and emergency teams.
• Support pre-operative preparation and post-operative patient monitoring.
• Counsel patients regarding treatment, precautions, follow-up, and rehabilitation under guidance.
• Respond to orthopedic emergency calls and escalate critical cases promptly.
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and clinical documentation standards.
• Maintain proper handover between shifts and departments.
• Ensure smooth and safe orthopedic patient care support.
