The Ward Incharge will be responsible for supervising ward nursing operations, staff allocation, patient care quality, medication safety, documentation, infection control, and ward coordination at HCG Hospitals, Rajkot. This requires GNM or B.Sc Nursing qualification with 5–6 years of nursing experience. The candidate should have strong leadership skills, clinical knowledge, and the ability to manage ward workflow efficiently.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing activities and patient care services in the assigned ward.
- Prepare duty allocation, staff assignments, and shift-wise ward coordination.
- Monitor bedside care, medication administration, vital charting, and nursing documentation.
- Ensure proper handover between shifts and continuity of patient care.
- Coordinate with doctors, consultants, nursing supervisors, pharmacy, laboratory, billing, and housekeeping teams.
- Monitor infection control, biomedical waste, hand hygiene, and patient safety practices.
- Guide junior nurses on clinical procedures, documentation, and patient communication.
- Handle patient and attendant queries professionally and escalate concerns when required.
- Ensure ward equipment, emergency tray, medicines, and consumables are available.
- Monitor admission, transfer, discharge, and patient movement activities in the ward.
- Maintain ward records, nursing reports, incident reports, and daily checklists.
- Support quality audits, nursing audits, and compliance rounds.
- Promote disciplined, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care.
