The MRD Technician will be responsible for managing patient medical records, file completion, discharge documentation tracking, record storage, retrieval, confidentiality, and MRD reporting at HCG Hospitals, Rajkot. This requires an MRD Course qualification with 1–2 years of experience in Medical Records Department operations. The candidate should have strong documentation skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of hospital record management practices.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Collect, arrange, file, and maintain patient medical records as per hospital policy.
- Check completeness of IPD files, discharge summaries, consent forms, investigation reports, and clinical documents.
- Maintain MRD registers, file movement records, discharge file trackers, and documentation logs.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing, billing, TPA, front office, and administration teams for pending documents.
- Ensure patient files are stored safely with proper confidentiality and access control.
- Retrieve records only as per approved hospital policy and authorized requests.
- Support insurance, audit, medico-legal, and patient record-related documentation requirements.
- Maintain proper indexing, numbering, and file arrangement for easy traceability.
- Track missing documents and follow up with concerned departments for completion.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MRD reports as required by seniors.
- Follow hospital SOPs, record retention rules, and confidentiality standards.
- Support scanning, uploading, and digital record maintenance where applicable.
- Ensure accurate, secure, and organized medical record management.
