Receptionist

The Receptionist will be responsible for managing front-desk operations, patient registration, appointment coordination, inquiry handling, and visitor support in the hospital. This requires excellent communication skills, computer knowledge, polite behavior, and a patient-friendly approach. The candidate will ensure smooth patient flow, accurate data entry, timely coordination with departments, and a professional first impression for patients, attendants, visitors, doctors, and hospital stakeholders.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, attendants, visitors, and guests in a polite and professional manner.
• Handle patient registration, appointment booking, inquiry management, and front-desk coordination.
• Answer phone calls, provide accurate information, and transfer calls to relevant departments.
• Maintain patient details, appointment records, registration entries, and visitor information accurately.
• Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, billing, diagnostics, pharmacy, and support departments.
• Guide patients regarding consultation process, department location, waiting time, and required documents.
• Manage OPD flow and ensure patients are directed to the right doctor or service area.
• Handle patient queries, complaints, and service requests with patience and professionalism.
• Collect and verify documents required for registration, consultation, billing, or admission.
• Support payment guidance, report collection, admission coordination, and follow-up appointment scheduling.
• Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and organized appearance of the reception area.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information, medical records, and hospital communication.
• Prepare daily reception reports, appointment lists, inquiry summaries, and visitor records as assigned.
• Coordinate with security and administration for visitor management and hospital access control.
• Ensure a smooth, respectful, and patient-friendly front-office experience.
