Pharmacist is responsible for managing pharmacy operations, medicine dispensing, prescription verification, stock control, inventory documentation, and patient counselling at Sterling Ram Krishna Speciality Hospital. The requires D.Pharma or B.Pharma qualification with 1 to 4 years of experience. Candidates should have strong knowledge of medicine dispensing, pharmacy operations, inventory management, drug safety, prescription handling, and patient-focused pharmacy service.
Role & Responsibilities
- Dispense medicines accurately as per valid doctor prescriptions.
- Verify patient details, medicine name, dosage, quantity, and instructions before issuing medicines.
- Explain basic medicine usage, dosage timing, precautions, and storage instructions to patients.
- Maintain pharmacy stock, inventory records, and medicine availability.
- Check expiry dates and ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO/FEFO methods.
- Arrange medicines, injections, surgical items, and pharmacy products in an organized manner.
- Maintain purchase, issue, return, and stock movement documentation.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, billing, store, and purchase departments.
- Ensure safe storage of medicines as per temperature and safety requirements.
- Report low-stock, expired, damaged, or slow-moving medicines to seniors.
- Support medicine billing coordination and patient service workflow.
- Follow pharmacy law, drug safety guidelines, and hospital pharmacy policies.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient prescriptions and hospital information.
- Support stock audits, inventory checks, and pharmacy compliance documentation.
- Deliver accurate, polite, and patient-friendly pharmacy service.
