OT Technician

The OT Technician will support operation theatre preparation, surgical assistance, instrument handling, equipment readiness, sterilization support, patient preparation, and OT documentation at Urocare Kidney Hospital, Rajkot. This requires Diploma or Certificate in OT Technology preferred. There are 2 vacancies for this position.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare operation theatre, surgical instruments, equipment, consumables, and sterile materials before procedures.
• Check OT lights, suction, cautery, monitors, oxygen, emergency equipment, and required surgical support items.
• Assist surgeons, OT nurses, and anaesthesia team during operation theatre activities.
• Support patient shifting, positioning, draping, and pre-operative preparation.
• Coordinate with CSSD for sterilized instruments and surgical set readiness.
• Maintain OT cleaning, fumigation support, sterilization records, equipment logs, and procedure documentation.
• Follow infection control, biomedical waste, OT safety, and hospital SOPs.
• Report equipment issues, instrument shortage, contamination, or OT delays to seniors promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and readiness inside the operation theatre.
• Support emergency surgery preparation and urgent OT requirements.
• Coordinate with biomedical, pharmacy, CSSD, nursing, and maintenance teams.
• Ensure safe, organized, and smooth OT technical support.
