OT Technician

We are hiring an OT Technician to support operation theatre activities, surgical preparation, sterilization, equipment readiness, and patient care during procedures. The candidate should have knowledge of OT protocols, surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, patient preparation, and coordination with surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses, and CSSD teams.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Prepare operation theatre before surgical procedures.
• Arrange surgical instruments, equipment, consumables, and OT supplies.
• Assist surgeons, anaesthetists, and OT nurses during procedures.
• Support patient shifting, positioning, and pre-operative preparation.
• Maintain sterile field and follow aseptic precautions.
• Check OT equipment functionality before procedures.
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments as per protocol.
• Coordinate with CSSD for instrument sterilization and availability.
• Maintain OT registers, checklists, and procedure records.
• Follow biomedical waste disposal and infection control standards.
• Support emergency OT preparation when required.
• Report equipment faults, supply shortages, or safety concerns immediately.
• Maintain cleanliness and discipline inside the OT area.
• Follow hospital safety protocols and patient care standards.
