Resident Medical Officer

The Resident Medical Officer will be responsible for delivering comprehensive medical care to admitted patients, monitoring clinical progress, and assisting consultants in treatment and procedures. The requires prompt decision-making, effective coordination, and adherence to hospital protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients across wards, ICU, emergency, and specialty units.
• Conduct regular patient rounds, monitor vital signs, and update daily clinical notes.
• Assist consultants during clinical evaluations, procedures, and medical interventions.
• Manage medical emergencies efficiently and escalate critical cases to specialists in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with nursing staff, diagnostics, and support teams for seamless patient care.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Handle admission, discharge, and transfer processes as per hospital protocols.
• Prescribe medications and treatments as per clinical guidelines and supervision.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and modify care plans as required.
• Maintain compliance with clinical safety, infection control, and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment and progress.
• Participate in clinical audits, case discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
