Staff Nurse - ICU -CCU - Ward - OT

The Staff Nurse - ICU - CCU - Ward - OT will be responsible for providing professional nursing care across critical care, ward, and operation theatre departments. This requires B.Sc Nursing or GNM qualification, strong patient monitoring skills, medication administration knowledge, infection control awareness, and compassionate communication. The candidate will support doctors, manage patient care activities, maintain accurate nursing records, and ensure safe, timely, and patient-centered care at Paras Health, Kanpur.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care to patients in ICU, CCU, ward, OT, and assigned clinical areas.
• Monitor vital signs, patient condition, intake-output, pain level, consciousness, and treatment response.
• Administer medicines, injections, IV fluids, oxygen, blood products, and nursing procedures as prescribed.
• Assist doctors, consultants, and surgeons during rounds, procedures, emergency care, and patient assessment.
• Prepare patients for investigations, procedures, surgery, admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Maintain nursing notes, medication charts, handover records, procedure records, and patient documentation.
• Support ICU and CCU care including cardiac monitoring, oxygen support, emergency response, and critical patient observation.
• Assist in OT preparation, patient shifting, positioning, sterile support, and post-operative handover when assigned.
• Follow infection control, hand hygiene, PPE, biomedical waste, and patient safety protocols.
• Recognize abnormal findings, emergency changes, or deterioration and escalate immediately to doctors or seniors.
• Coordinate with pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, billing, OT, ICU, and administration teams.
• Educate patients and relatives about medicines, diet, hygiene, post-procedure care, and follow-up instructions.
• Maintain cleanliness, equipment readiness, and proper arrangement of nursing stations and patient care areas.
• Ensure proper patient identification, sample labeling, consent support, and safe handling of patient records.
• Deliver compassionate, ethical, disciplined, and professional nursing care at all times.
