Pathologist

The Pathologist will be responsible for performing, analyzing, and validating a wide range of pathology investigations including histopathology, hematology, clinical pathology, and biochemistry. The involves ensuring diagnostic accuracy, supervising laboratory operations, and collaborating closely with clinicians to support effective patient care.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform and validate routine and specialized pathology investigations.
• Report and interpret Histopathology, Hematology, Clinical Pathology, and Biochemistry samples.
• Ensure accuracy, quality control, and timely reporting of all diagnostic tests.
• Correlate laboratory findings with clinical information and provide expert opinions to clinicians.
• Supervise laboratory technicians and ensure adherence to standard protocols.
• Implement and monitor quality assurance programs and internal/external quality controls.
• Ensure compliance with NABL standards, hospital policies, and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain proper documentation, records, and reporting systems.
• Participate in clinical discussions, case reviews, and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Monitor laboratory processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
• Oversee inventory management of reagents, consumables, and laboratory supplies.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of biomedical waste as per regulations.
• Assist in audits, accreditation processes, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Stay updated with latest advancements and best practices in pathology.
