Emergency Medical Officer

The Lab Technician will be responsible for conducting a wide range of laboratory investigations across hematology, biochemistry, and pathology. This involves proper collection and handling of patient samples, accurate execution of tests, and timely reporting of results. The candidate must ensure strict adherence to quality standards, infection control protocols, and safety guidelines while maintaining laboratory equipment and documentation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in hematology, biochemistry, and pathology as per established protocols.
• Collect, label, and process blood and other biological samples with precision, ensuring properentification and handling.
• Prepare reagents, solutions, and samples required for diagnostic testing.
• Operate, calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate performance.
• Ensure accurate recording, validation, and timely reporting of test results to support clinical decision-making.
• Maintain detailed records of tests conducted, sample tracking, and quality control logs.
• Follow strict infection control measures and laboratory safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct internal quality control checks and support external quality assurance programs.
• Handle, segregate, and dispose of biomedical waste as per regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor stock levels of reagents and consumables and coordinate for timely replenishment.
• Coordinate with doctors, pathologists, and senior lab staff for clarifications and urgent test requirements.
• entify and report abnormal results or equipment malfunctions promptly to senior authorities.
• Assist in audits, accreditation processes, and compliance documentation as required.
