The Senior Resident Critical Care will support ICU care, emergency medicine, patient stabilization, ventilator management, critical care monitoring, and clinical documentation at Fortis Hospitals, New Delhi. This requires MD, DNB Anaesthesia, or Critical Care qualification with 4–8 years of experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Attend critically ill patients in ICU, emergency, and assigned critical care areas.
- Review vitals, ventilator parameters, oxygenation, ABG, lab reports, imaging reports, and treatment response.
- Assist consultants with ICU rounds, invasive procedures, resuscitation, and critical decision-making.
- Support airway care, ventilator adjustment, oxygen therapy, hemodynamic support, sedation, and pain control.
- Respond to sepsis, shock, respiratory distress, cardiac arrest, altered sensorium, and other critical emergencies.
- Coordinate patient care with ICU nursing, emergency, anaesthesia, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and billing teams.
- Maintain ICU progress notes, prescriptions, monitoring charts, procedure documentation, and handover records.
- Report critical values, sudden deterioration, medication reactions, or urgent clinical concerns promptly.
- Follow ICU protocols, infection control, patient safety, and documentation guidelines.
- Support clinical audit, quality improvement, and emergency preparedness in critical care services.
- Maintain professional communication with patients families under senior guidance.
- Deliver safe, timely, evidence-based, and compassionate ICU care support.
