The Senior Resident Critical Care will manage critically ill patients, ICU workflow, emergency stabilization, ventilator support, and intensive care documentation at Fortis Hospitals, Hyderabad. This requires MD, DNB Anaesthesia, or Critical Care qualification with 4–8 years of experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess ICU patients and prepare daily critical care plans under consultant supervision.
- Monitor vitals, ventilator settings, oxygenation, fluid balance, ABG, lab results, and clinical progress.
- Assist in emergency procedures including CPR support, airway support, line care, and resuscitation.
- Manage critical care conditions such as sepsis, shock, respiratory failure, trauma complications, and post-operative critical illness.
- Coordinate with ICU nurses, emergency team, anaesthesia, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, diagnostics, and billing teams.
- Maintain ICU charts, medication orders, procedure records, consent support, and shift handover notes.
- Identify clinical deterioration and inform intensivists or consultants without delay.
- Support safe transfer of unstable patients for diagnostics, procedures, or higher-level care.
- Follow ICU infection control, medication safety, ventilator care bundle, and patient privacy standards.
- Participate in case discussions, morbidity reviews, and quality improvement activities when required.
- Counsel relatives under senior supervision with clarity and empathy.
- Ensure disciplined, safe, and patient-centered critical care delivery.
