The Senior Resident Critical Care will provide critical care management, ICU support, emergency stabilization, ventilator monitoring, and multidisciplinary patient care at Fortis Hospitals, Mumbai. This requires MD, DNB Anaesthesia, or Critical Care qualification with 4–8 years of experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage ICU and high-dependency patients under intensivist or consultant guidance.
- Monitor ventilator settings, oxygen support, ABG, vitals, urine output, lab reports, and organ support needs.
- Assist in airway management, central line care, arterial line monitoring, CPR, and critical care procedures.
- Participate in ICU rounds and update treatment plans based on patient condition and response.
- Support emergency management of shock, sepsis, respiratory failure, arrhythmia, cardiac arrest, and trauma-related critical illness.
- Coordinate with ICU nurses, respiratory therapists, emergency doctors, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and billing teams.
- Maintain ICU notes, medication charts, procedure records, consent forms, and handover sheets.
- Identify early warning signs and escalate deterioration to senior consultants immediately.
- Ensure infection prevention, ventilator bundle care, catheter care, and medication safety compliance.
- Support safe admission, transfer, discharge, and interdepartmental movement of critical patients.
- Communicate updates to patient relatives under consultant supervision.
- Provide alert, structured, and patient-centered critical care support.
