Job Description

The Registrar Critical Care will support ICU patient management, emergency stabilization, ventilator monitoring, intensive care coordination, clinical documentation, and critical care patient support at Fortis Hospitals, Mumbai. This requires MD, DNB Anaesthesia, or Critical Care qualification with 0–4 years of experience.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assess critically ill patients admitted in ICU, emergency, and high-dependency care areas.
  • Monitor vitals, ventilator parameters, oxygenation, ABG reports, fluid balance, sepsis markers, and treatment response.
  • Assist consultants and intensivists during ICU rounds, procedures, resuscitation, and critical care reviews.
  • Support airway management, oxygen therapy, ventilator care, hemodynamic monitoring, and emergency stabilization.
  • Maintain ICU case sheets, progress notes, medication charts, procedure records, and handover documentation.
  • Coordinate with ICU nurses, anaesthesia team, emergency, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and billing departments.
  • Escalate shock, sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, neurological deterioration, or abnormal reports immediately.
  • Support safe admission, transfer, discharge, and diagnostic movement of critically ill patients.
  • Follow ICU protocols, infection control, medication safety, patient safety, and documentation standards.
  • Counsel relatives under senior guidance regarding patient condition and care updates.
  • Participate in case discussions, audits, and quality improvement activities when required.
  • Deliver timely, safe, ethical, and evidence-based critical care support.
