Job Description

We are seeking a Ward Boy to support nursing staff, assist patients, maintain ward cleanliness, help with patient shifting, and provide general hospital support services. The requires discipline, physical fitness, patient care attitude, and the ability to follow instructions from nurses and supervisors. The candidate should support smooth ward operations and patient comfort.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with movement, shifting, and basic support needs.
  • Support nursing staff in daily ward activities.
  • Help transfer patients to diagnostic, OT, or other departments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in patient care areas.
  • Assist in arranging beds, wheelchairs, stretchers, and patient supplies.
  • Support patient admission, discharge, and internal shifting processes.
  • Follow instructions from nurses, doctors, and ward supervisors.
  • Help attendants with basic hospital guidance when required.
  • Carry samples, documents, or materials between departments.
  • Maintain hygiene and infection control practices in the ward.
  • Handle hospital equipment carefully during patient movement.
  • Report patient discomfort or urgent needs to nursing staff.
  • Support housekeeping coordination for clean patient surroundings.
  • Maintain respectful and polite behavior with patients and attendants.
  • Follow hospital safety rules and duty discipline.
