The Pharmacist will manage hospital pharmacy operations, medicine dispensing, patient counselling, drug inventory, medication safety, pharmacy software entries, and documentation at Avron Hospital. This requires B.Pharm or D.Pharm qualification with State Pharmacy Council Registration and 1–3 years of experience in medicine dispensing, drug regulations, MS Office, and pharmacy workflow.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Dispense medicines accurately as per valid doctor prescriptions and pharmacy policy.
- Verify medicine name, dosage, quantity, route, batch number, expiry date, and billing details before issue.
- Guide patients and attendants on medicine usage, dosage timing, storage, precautions, and follow-up instructions.
- Maintain medicine stock, inventory records, purchase entries, issue records, and return documentation.
- Monitor expiry, near-expiry, shortage, damaged stock, and fast-moving medicines.
- Arrange medicines properly with correct labeling, storage, segregation, and traceability.
- Use pharmacy software and MS Office for billing support, stock entry, reporting, and documentation.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, billing team, purchase department, stores, and pharmacy team.
- Maintain safe storage of emergency medicines, high-alert medicines, and temperature-sensitive medicines.
- Follow drug regulations, pharmacy standards, medication safety practices, and hospital SOPs.
- Support stock audits, inventory reconciliation, and discrepancy reporting.
- Report medication errors, adverse drug reactions, or drug safety concerns through proper channels.
- Maintain patient prescription confidentiality and professional communication.
- Keep pharmacy area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Ensure safe, accurate, ethical, and patient-friendly pharmacy service delivery.
