Attending Consultant - Emergency Medicine

The Attending Consultant - Emergency Medicine will manage emergency department care, critical care support, internal medicine emergencies, acute stabilization, trauma response, and emergency documentation at Max Healthcare, New Delhi. This requires MD or DNB Emergency Medicine with 0–2 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Attend emergency, trauma, acute medical, surgical, and critical patients.
• Supervise triage, initial assessment, stabilization, and emergency treatment planning.
• Manage cardiac, respiratory, neurological, trauma, poisoning, sepsis, and critical emergency cases.
• Lead or assist in CPR, resuscitation, airway support, emergency procedures, and urgent interventions.
• Coordinate with ICU, OT, radiology, laboratory, pharmacy, ambulance, nursing, and billing teams.
• Maintain emergency records, prescriptions, consent forms, procedure notes, and handover documentation.
• Guide emergency staff on emergency protocols, patient safety, infection control, and clinical response.
• Communicate clearly with patients and relatives during emergency care.
• Escalate complex cases to appropriate specialists when required.
• Ensure crash cart, emergency medicines, and resuscitation equipment readiness.
• Follow ACLS, BLS, emergency medicine protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards.
• Deliver fast, safe, ethical, and patient-centered emergency medical care.
