Associate Consultant - CTVS

The Associate Consultant - CTVS will provide cardiothoracic and vascular surgery consultation, cardiac surgery support, perioperative care, patient counselling, and multidisciplinary coordination at Max Healthcare, New Delhi. This requires M.Ch or DNB Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery with 0–2 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients requiring cardiothoracic or vascular surgical consultation.
• Review cardiac investigations, imaging reports, angiography findings, surgical fitness, and clinical history.
• Assist or perform cardiac, thoracic, or vascular procedures as per clinical authority and hospital protocol.
• Support pre-operative evaluation, consent process, surgical planning, and post-operative monitoring.
• Coordinate with cardiology, cardiac anaesthesia, ICU, OT, perfusion, nursing, radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy teams.
• Monitor post-operative patients for vitals, bleeding, wound condition, drains, pain, and recovery progress.
• Counsel patients and families regarding surgery, risks, recovery, rehabilitation, and follow-up care.
• Maintain consultation notes, operative records, procedure notes, prescriptions, and discharge summaries.
• Participate in multidisciplinary cardiac care planning and case discussions.
• Follow surgical safety, infection control, patient safety, and ethical medical practice.
• Respond to cardiac or vascular surgical emergencies when required.
• Deliver safe, precise, and patient-centered CTVS care.
