Medical Officer

The Medical Officer will work in ICU, ICCU, and emergency areas to assess patients, monitor clinical condition, support treatment plans, and respond to urgent medical needs. This requires quick clinical judgment, strong documentation discipline, and the ability to coordinate with consultants, nursing, diagnostics, pharmacy, and patient care teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Attend ICU, ICCU, emergency, ward, and assigned critical care patients during duty hours.
• Take patient history, conduct clinical examination, and support treatment planning.
• Monitor vitals, ECG, oxygen level, ventilator status, lab reports, and treatment response.
• Assist consultants during rounds, emergency procedures, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Respond to emergency calls and support patient stabilization.
• Maintain case sheets, progress notes, prescriptions, ICU notes, and handover documentation.
• Coordinate with nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, ICU, OT, and billing teams.
• Review lab and imaging reports and escalate abnormal findings promptly.
• Support patient admission, discharge, referral, and movement coordination.
• Follow ICU protocols, emergency care standards, infection control, and patient safety guidelines.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional communication.
• Deliver safe, timely, and responsible medical care support.
