Junior Scientific Officer

The Junior Scientific Officer will support laboratory testing, sample handling, analyzer operation, documentation, and quality processes in a diagnostic laboratory. This requires laboratory knowledge, accuracy, GLP compliance, and willingness to learn. The candidate will assist in timely and reliable test processing under senior supervision.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in routine diagnostic testing and sample preparation.
• Verify sample identification, labeling, and requisition details.
• Operate assigned laboratory equipment under approved protocols.
• Maintain QC logs, sample registers, worksheets, and test documentation.
• Prepare reagents and testing materials as per departmental requirement.
• Follow GLP, biosafety, infection control, and PPE guidelines.
• Report sample errors, instrument alerts, or abnormal results to seniors.
• Support senior laboratory staff in daily test workflow.
• Coordinate with accessioning and reporting teams as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations.
• Support quality audits and training activities.
• Ensure timely laboratory testing support.
