OSD Manufacturing Technician

The OSD Manufacturing Technician will support oral solid dosage production activities by operating manufacturing equipment and following approved batch instructions. This involves handling materials, monitoring process parameters, assisting in equipment cleaning, maintaining documentation, and ensuring GMP compliance. The candidate should have practical shop-floor experience, technical discipline, and the ability to work safely in pharmaceutical manufacturing areas while supporting timely and quality-focused batch execution.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate OSD manufacturing equipment as per SOPs and batch manufacturing instructions.
• Support granulation, blending, compression, coating, milling, sieving, and related operations.
• Check raw materials, equipment status, and production area readiness before operations.
• Monitor machine performance and process parameters during assigned production activities.
• Record production observations, machine readings, batch details, and logbook entries accurately.
• Follow GMP, safety, hygiene, and contamination control practices during all operations.
• Assist in equipment cleaning, area cleaning, setup, changeover, and line clearance activities.
• Report machine breakdowns, product defects, abnormal sounds, or process deviations to supervisors.
• Handle raw materials, intermediates, and finished products carefully to avoid mix-ups or contamination.
• Support in-process checks and coordinate with QA or IPQA teams when required.
• Maintain proper labeling, segregation, and movement of materials during production.
• Follow PPE and safety requirements while operating machines and handling materials.
• Minimize material wastage, downtime, and operational errors during assigned shifts.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in manufacturing and equipment areas.
• Complete assigned manufacturing tasks within defined timelines and quality standards.
