Scientific Officer

The Scientific Officer will perform diagnostic testing, sample handling, QC documentation, analyzer operation, and laboratory workflow support. This requires B.Sc or M.Sc qualification, technical understanding, GLP compliance, and accuracy in laboratory processes. The candidate will support reliable and timely diagnostic services.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform assigned diagnostic laboratory tests as per SOPs.
• Verify sample details, labeling, and test requirements.
• Operate laboratory instruments and maintain usage logs.
• Maintain QC records, worksheets, registers, and test documentation.
• Prepare reagents, controls, slides, and testing materials when required.
• Report critical results, sample issues, or equipment errors promptly.
• Follow GLP, biosafety, PPE, and infection control practices.
• Coordinate with accessioning, reporting, and laboratory departments.
• Support equipment calibration and maintenance coordination.
• Maintain clean and safe laboratory working conditions.
• Ensure timely processing of patient samples.
• Support laboratory quality and audit readiness.
