Scientific Officer

The Scientific Officer will be responsible for processing samples, performing laboratory tests, maintaining quality control, operating diagnostic equipment, and supporting reporting activities. This requires laboratory knowledge, documentation accuracy, and adherence to GLP and safety standards. The candidate will ensure timely and dependable diagnostic results.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory testing as per departmental SOPs.
• Process samples with correct identification and safety measures.
• Operate diagnostic analyzers and maintain instrument records.
• Maintain QC logs, sample records, worksheets, and test documentation.
• Prepare reagents, controls, and consumables for testing.
• Escalate abnormal findings, sample errors, or instrument problems.
• Follow biosafety, infection control, GLP, and quality practices.
• Coordinate with accessioning and reporting teams for test completion.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory workspace.
• Support audits, equipment maintenance, and corrective actions.
• Ensure timely processing of routine and priority samples.
• Deliver accurate laboratory testing support.
