Scientific Officer

The Scientific Officer will support diagnostic laboratory operations by performing sample testing, operating instruments, maintaining QC documentation, and ensuring accurate report workflow. This requires laboratory knowledge, technical discipline, GLP compliance, and attention to detail. The candidate will contribute to timely and reliable diagnostic service delivery.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory tests as per SOPs and approved methods.
• Verify sample details, quality, labeling, and test requirements before testing.
• Operate analyzers, microscopes, and other laboratory equipment.
• Maintain accurate test records, QC logs, sample registers, and instrument logs.
• Prepare reagents, controls, and testing materials when needed.
• Report sample rejection, abnormal results, or equipment issues to seniors.
• Follow laboratory safety, GLP, infection control, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with accessioning, pathology, and reporting teams.
• Support timely processing of urgent and routine samples.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of laboratory areas.
• Assist in calibration, maintenance, and audit-related activities.
• Ensure accurate and quality-focused test processing.
