Orthopedic Consultant

The Orthopedic Consultant will provide expert medical care for bone, joint, ligament, tendon, and muscle-related conditions. This requires strong clinical expertise, surgical skills, and the ability to manage both routine and complex orthopedic cases.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of orthopedic conditions and injuries.
• Evaluate patients through physical examinations, medical history, and diagnostic tests.
• Interpret X-rays, MRI, CT scans, and other imaging reports.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Perform orthopedic surgeries such as fracture fixation, joint replacement, and arthroscopic procedures.
• Manage trauma and emergency orthopedic cases effectively.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.
• Prescribe medications, physiotherapy, and rehabilitation plans.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with physiotherapists and rehabilitation teams for recovery plans.
• Educate patients on injury prevention, recovery, and lifestyle modifications.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols.
• Participate in ward rounds, OPD consultations, and emergency duties.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Stay updated with advancements in orthopedic techniques and treatments.
• Participate in clinical audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, SOPs, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain ethical medical practices and patient confidentiality.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior doctors and medical staff.
• Handle medico-legal cases and documentation when required.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple cases efficiently.
• Contribute to improving patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Participate in medical camps, outreach programs, and awareness initiatives.
• Maintain professionalism and a patient-centric approach at all times.
