Lab Technician

Kiran Multi Super Speciality Hospital & Research Center is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Technician to perform clinical laboratory testing and support accurate diagnostic services. The involves handling patient samples, operating laboratory equipment, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring timely and reliable test results in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Collect, receive, label, and process patient samples (blood, urine, body fluids, etc.).
• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests as per departmental protocols.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment efficiently.
• Ensure accurate preparation of reagents, chemicals, and test materials.
• Maintain strict adherence to laboratory safety, hygiene, and infection control standards.
• Record, verify, and report test results accurately and on time.
• Ensure proper sample storage, handling, and disposal as per guidelines.
• Calibrate and perform routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality control measures.
• Assist in internal and external quality assurance programs.
• entify and report abnormal or critical test results to senior staff promptly.
• Maintain proper documentation, registers, and laboratory records.
• Ensure compliance with NABL/NABH standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with doctors and hospital departments for diagnostic support.
• Handle biomedical waste disposal as per safety protocols.
• Assist in inventory management of lab reagents and consumables.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support training and skill development activities within the laboratory.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory environment.
