Roles & Responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately as per doctor prescriptions and hospital protocols.
• Verify prescriptions for dosage, drug interactions, and contraindications before dispensing.
• Maintain proper storage and handling of medicines as per pharmacological guidelines.
• Ensure availability of medicines and manage pharmacy inventory efficiently.
• Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, and ensure timely replenishment of drugs.
• Maintain accurate records of drug dispensing, purchases, and stock movement.
• Coordinate with doctors and healthcare staff for medication-related queries.
• Handle procurement of medicines from approved vendors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and hospital policies.
• Maintain proper labeling, packaging, and storage of pharmaceutical products.
• Manage controlled drugs and ensure strict documentation and security compliance.
• Assist in patient counseling regarding medication usage and side effects.
• Participate in stock audits, reconciliation, and inventory verification.
• Handle return, expiry, and disposal of unused or expired medicines as per guidelines.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of pharmacy area at all times.
• Support pharmacovigilance activities and report adverse drug reactions if any.
• Assist in audits and maintain documentation for regulatory inspections.
