Optometrist

The Optometrist will perform eye examination, vision testing, refraction, prescription support, patient counselling, and optical coordination at Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospital, Salem. This requires B.Sc Optometry or Diploma in Optometry qualification with 0–5 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct vision testing, refraction, and basic eye examination for patients.
• Assist ophthalmologists with clinical evaluation and diagnostic workflow.
• Perform visual acuity testing, lens power assessment, and preliminary eye screening.
• Guide patients regarding spectacles, contact lenses, eye care, and follow-up visits.
• Maintain patient records, examination findings, and optometry documentation accurately.
• Coordinate with doctors, optical team, counselling team, and front office staff.
• Support diagnostic tests and patient movement within the eye care department.
• Ensure patient-friendly, accurate, and professional optometry service delivery.
