Clinical Optometrist

The Clinical Optometrist will perform clinical eye examination, refraction, diagnostic support, patient counselling, and ophthalmologist coordination at Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospital, Madurai. This requires B.Sc Optometry or Diploma in Optometry qualification.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct refraction, visual acuity testing, and preliminary eye examination.
• Support ophthalmologists with clinical assessment and diagnostic preparation.
• Perform basic ophthalmic tests and document examination findings accurately.
• Counsel patients regarding spectacles, contact lenses, treatment advice, and follow-up visits.
• Identify urgent or abnormal findings and escalate to the ophthalmologist promptly.
• Coordinate with front office, counselling, optical, and diagnostic teams.
• Maintain patient records, prescription details, and optometry documentation.
• Deliver accurate, professional, and patient-friendly clinical optometry services.
