Ortho Registrar

The Ortho Registrar will support orthopedic consultants in OPD, IPD, trauma care, emergency management, surgical assistance, ward rounds, documentation, and post-operative care at Bhatia Hospital, Mumbai. This requires MBBS with MS/DNB Orthopedics or candidates pursuing MS/DNB Orthopedics, with 1–4 years of experience in orthopedic clinical care.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate orthopedic and trauma patients in OPD, emergency, ward, and ICU settings.
• Assist orthopedic consultants during rounds, procedures, surgeries, and treatment planning.
• Support fracture management, plaster application, dressings, wound care, traction, and post-operative monitoring.
• Review X-rays, CT, MRI, lab reports, and clinical progress under consultant guidance.
• Maintain clinical notes, consent forms, operative records, prescriptions, and discharge summaries.
• Coordinate with OT, anesthesia, physiotherapy, nursing, radiology, and emergency teams.
• Respond to orthopedic emergencies and escalate critical cases promptly.
• Monitor post-operative recovery, pain control, mobility, and rehabilitation needs.
• Counsel patients regarding treatment, surgery, precautions, and follow-up under guidance.
• Follow surgical safety, infection control, and patient safety standards.
• Participate in clinical meetings, case discussions, and academic learning.
• Ensure ethical and patient-centered orthopedic care.
