Casualty Medical Officer

The Casualty Medical Officer will be responsible for emergency patient assessment, casualty care, initial stabilization, urgent treatment coordination, consultant escalation, and clinical documentation at Masina Hospital, Mumbai. This requires MBBS qualification with 2–3 years of experience in emergency medicine, casualty, or medical officer duties.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Attend casualty and emergency patients promptly.
• Assess patient condition and provide initial stabilization as per emergency protocol.
• Manage trauma, fever, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, poisoning, and general emergency cases.
• Monitor vitals, clinical condition, emergency investigations, and treatment response.
• Coordinate with consultants, ICU, OT, radiology, laboratory, and nursing teams.
• Assist in wound care, resuscitation, emergency procedures, and urgent interventions.
• Maintain casualty records, prescriptions, MLC documentation, and handover notes.
• Escalate critical or complex cases to senior doctors immediately.
• Support admission, discharge, referral, and patient transfer processes.
• Communicate with attendants calmly and professionally under hospital policy.
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and hospital emergency SOPs.
• Ensure timely and safe emergency medical care.
