Senior Clinical Associate

The Senior Clinical Associate will be responsible for supporting consultants in advanced patient care, clinical assessment, treatment coordination, documentation, and departmental workflow management. This requires strong medical knowledge, clinical decision-support ability, patient monitoring skills, and coordination with doctors, nurses, diagnostics, and hospital teams. The candidate will ensure quality clinical care, smooth patient management, accurate records, and professional communication with patients and relatives.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist consultants in OPD, IPD, ICU, emergency, and specialty department patient management.
• Conduct patient history taking, clinical examination, and initial medical assessment as required.
• Support consultants during ward rounds, procedures, admissions, referrals, and discharge planning.
• Monitor patient vitals, clinical progress, investigation reports, and treatment response.
• Review laboratory, radiology, and diagnostic findings and report critical abnormalities to consultants.
• Prepare and maintain case sheets, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
• Coordinate with nursing staff for medication orders, investigations, procedures, and patient care instructions.
• Attend emergency calls and support patient stabilization under senior doctor guidance.
• Assist in pre-operative and post-operative patient management when required.
• Communicate patient updates to consultants, nursing teams, and hospital departments as per protocol.
• Ensure proper documentation of consent, procedures, clinical observations, and treatment changes.
• Coordinate with laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, billing, admission, and discharge teams for smooth workflow.
• Guide junior clinical assistants and clinical staff in documentation and patient care coordination.
• Follow hospital policies for infection control, patient safety, confidentiality, and ethical medical practice.
• Maintain compassionate communication with patients and relatives while ensuring professional care standards.
