Operation Theatre Nurse

The Operation Theatre Nurse will support OT preparation, surgical assistance, sterile technique, instrument handling, patient safety, and operation theatre documentation at Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospital, Mumbai. This requires GNM or B.Sc Nursing qualification with 0–5 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare operation theatre, surgical instruments, sterile trays, gowns, gloves, and consumables.
• Assist surgeons during ophthalmic surgical procedures and maintain sterile field.
• Support patient preparation, positioning, draping, and surgical checklist activities.
• Coordinate with surgeons, anaesthesia team, OT technicians, CSSD, and nursing staff.
• Maintain instrument, sponge, needle, and swab count as per OT protocol.
• Follow infection control, sterilization, OT safety, and biomedical waste management standards.
• Maintain OT records, surgical logs, and procedure-related documentation.
• Ensure smooth, safe, sterile, and patient-centered OT workflow.
