Cathlab Staff Nurse

The Cathlab Staff Nurse will provide cath lab nursing support, cardiac procedure assistance, patient monitoring, sterile care, emergency readiness, and clinical documentation at Max Healthcare, Mumbai. This requires GNM or B.Sc Nursing with 0–3 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare cath lab patients before procedures including consent support, vitals check, IV access support, and documentation.
• Assist cardiologists and cath lab team during angiography, angioplasty, stenting, and cardiac procedures.
• Monitor patient vitals, ECG, oxygen saturation, consciousness, pain level, and clinical condition during and after procedures.
• Maintain sterile field and assist with instruments, catheters, guidewires, drapes, and procedure materials.
• Support emergency response, CPR readiness, defibrillator readiness, and crash cart preparation.
• Administer medicines, IV fluids, oxygen, and prescribed nursing care safely under doctor guidance.
• Maintain cath lab nursing records, procedure notes, medication records, and handover documentation.
• Coordinate with cardiologists, cath lab technicians, ICU, emergency, pharmacy, laboratory, and billing teams.
• Support safe patient shifting from cath lab to ICU, ward, recovery area, or emergency area.
• Follow infection control, hand hygiene, PPE, sterile precautions, and biomedical waste protocols.
• Report bleeding, arrhythmia, chest pain, abnormal vitals, or patient deterioration immediately.
• Deliver safe, alert, ethical, and patient-centered cath lab nursing care.
