Resident Medical Officer (RMO)

The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) is responsible for managing patient care in OPD, IPD, and emergency settings, ensuring timely diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring. This requires strong clinical knowledge, prompt decision-making skills, and the ability to handle a wide range of medical conditions in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding clinical status and treatment plans.
• Assist in pre-operative and post-operative patient management.
• Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
• Handle medico-legal cases and maintain documentation as per legal guidelines.
• Coordinate with nursing staff and allied healthcare professionals for comprehensive care.
• Attend and manage code blue calls and emergency situations efficiently.
• Ensure rational use of medications, investigations, and hospital resources.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation processes.
• Provide guidance and supervision to interns and junior medical staff when required.
• Assist in discharge planning, summary preparation, and follow-up care instructions.

• Work in rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
