CSSD Technician

Skilled CSSD Technician responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, packing, and distributing surgical instruments and medical equipment. Experienced in autoclave operation, infection control, instrument management, sterilization documentation, and hospital safety protocols.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect surgical instruments and equipment.
• Operate sterilization machines and autoclaves safely.
• Prepare sterile instrument sets for OT and clinical departments.
• Monitor sterilization cycles and quality indicators.
• Maintain sterilization records and documentation.
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness and functionality.
• Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and storage of sterile items.
• Coordinate with OT, ICU, and ward departments.
• Follow infection control and biomedical waste protocols.
• Maintain inventory of sterile supplies and consumables.
• Report equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Support audits and accreditation activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and discipline within CSSD.
• Follow hospital SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Contribute to patient safety and infection prevention.
