Gastro Technician

The Gastro Technician will assist in endoscopy and gastroenterology procedures, prepare equipment, handle scopes, support patient preparation, maintain disinfection, and document procedure workflow. The requires technical knowledge, infection control awareness, and coordination with gastroenterologists, nurses, and biomedical teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare endoscopy room, scopes, accessories, monitors, suction, and consumables.
• Assist doctors during endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, and related procedures.
• Support patient positioning, preparation, consent checklist, and procedure readiness.
• Clean, disinfect, dry, and store scopes as per protocol.
• Maintain procedure records, scope logs, disinfection logs, and equipment documentation.
• Report equipment malfunction, stock shortage, or patient safety concerns.
• Follow PPE, biomedical waste, infection control, and patient safety standards.
• Support smooth, safe, and efficient gastro procedure services.
