Senior Resident - Respiratory Medicine Allergy and Sleep Disorder

The Senior Resident - Respiratory Medicine, Allergy and Sleep Disorder will support respiratory medicine services, allergy patient care, sleep disorder evaluation, pulmonary emergency management, inpatient monitoring, and clinical documentation at BLK-Max Hospital, Kanpur. This requires MD or DNB qualification with 0–5 years of experience in respiratory medicine.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist consultants in OPD, IPD, ICU, and emergency respiratory patient care.
• Evaluate patients with asthma, COPD, pneumonia, TB, allergy, ILD, and sleep-related complaints.
• Review PFT, ABG, X-ray, CT chest, sleep study reports, sputum tests, and lab findings.
• Support treatment planning, oxygen therapy, NIV care, and pulmonary procedure coordination.
• Monitor admitted respiratory patients and report abnormal findings promptly.
• Maintain progress notes, prescriptions, procedure notes, handovers, and discharge documentation.
• Coordinate with ICU, radiology, physiotherapy, nursing, lab, and emergency teams.
• Counsel patients under consultant guidance about inhaler use, allergy care, and follow-up.
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and support stabilization.
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and hospital clinical SOPs.
• Participate in academic sessions, case discussions, and department rounds.
• Ensure timely and patient-centered respiratory medicine support.
