The Attending Consultant - Interventional Radiology will be responsible for image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, patient selection, procedural planning, clinical coordination, post-procedure monitoring, and radiology documentation at BLK-Max Hospital, Kanpur. This requires MD, DNB, or Fellowship in Interventional Radiology with 0–5 years of experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients for image-guided interventional radiology procedures.
- Plan and perform or assist in vascular and non-vascular IR procedures as per expertise.
- Review imaging, clinical history, lab values, coagulation profile, and procedure risks.
- Obtain consent and explain procedure benefits, risks, and follow-up instructions.
- Coordinate with treating consultants, ICU, OT, anesthesia, nursing, and radiology teams.
- Ensure radiation safety, contrast safety, sterile technique, and patient monitoring.
- Manage post-procedure care, complication identification, and follow-up planning.
- Maintain procedure records, reports, consent forms, and clinical documentation.
- Support emergency interventions such as embolization, drainage, biopsy, or access procedures.
- Guide residents, technicians, and nursing staff during procedural workflow.
- Participate in clinical meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement activities.
- Deliver safe, ethical, and image-guided interventional radiology care.
