Attending Consultant

The Attending Consultant will be responsible for CTVS Anaesthesia and Intensive Care patient management at BLK-Max Hospital, Kanpur. This requires MD or DNB qualification with 0–4 years of experience in cardiothoracic anesthesia and intensive care services. The candidate will manage perioperative care, ICU coordination, ventilator support, emergency stabilization, and multidisciplinary clinical communication.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage anesthesia care for CTVS and cardiothoracic surgical patients.
• Conduct pre-operative assessment and anesthesia planning for cardiac surgery cases.
• Monitor intraoperative airway, vitals, ventilation, fluids, blood loss, and hemodynamics.
• Support ICU management for post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients.
• Coordinate with CTVS surgeons, intensivists, perfusion team, OT, ICU, and nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate anesthesia charts, ICU notes, consent forms, and handover records.
• Respond to emergency airway, code blue, hemodynamic instability, and critical events.
• Support ventilator management, pain control, sedation, and organ support in ICU.
• Guide residents and technical staff on CTVS anesthesia and ICU protocols.
• Follow infection control, OT discipline, patient safety, and hospital clinical SOPs.
• Participate in audits, clinical reviews, and quality improvement activities.
• Ensure safe, ethical, and evidence-based CTVS anesthesia and intensive care services.
